Medsled Vertical Lift Rescue | MedSled ...
The Med Sled Vertical Lift Rescue (VLR) stretcher is a versatile, lightweight, and compact solution designed for rescue operations in remote or confined spaces.
This stretcher can be used in a variety of ways: dragged, lifted horizontally, or lifted vertically. It is suitable for both land and water rescues.
The Med Sled VLR has undergone rigorous testing by the U.S. Military and Canadian Search and Rescue teams, meeting their airworthiness standards for both land and water operations.
Its quick deployment, ease of use, and minimal training requirements make it ideal for use in challenging environments, such as low-visibility conditions, confined spaces, extreme temperatures, or high-risk zones.
Constructed from durable High-Density Polyethylene (HDPE), the stretcher provides stability for patient transport, particularly during horizontal and vertical lifts. The material is highly resistant to tearing, cutting, and puncturing.
The VLR stretcher features integrated lifting straps, enabling immediate vertical or horizontal lifting once the patient is secured. A key benefit of the Med Sled design is that the lifting system doesn’t rely on the HDPE body’s integrity. Instead, it uses a fully interconnected webbing harness made from military-grade materials, secured with 18kN Cobra buckles. The lifting slings are rated for up to 4000kg.
