A spring mechanism is incorporated into the design of the over bed table; the benefits of this is twofold. First and foremost the spring enhances safety by preventing the table top from dropping down when adjusting the height. The second benefit is enhancement of ease of use when adjusting the height of the table - height adjustments are easier to regulate and eliminate possible discomfort to the operator.
