Introducing our On-Site Laser Compliance Testing Service, the comprehensive solution to ensuring that your laser equipment operates within the legal requirements set forth by Radiation Health and outlined in Queensland's Radiation Safety Act 1999 (the Act).

Our highly trained and experienced laser compliance technicians will visit your site to evaluate your laser equipment thoroughly. We utilise state-of-the-art equipment to measure the laser output power, laser beam alignment, and other critical parameters to ensure compliance with the regulations set forth by the Act.

The Radiation Safety Act of Queensland was established to regulate the use of radiation sources, including laser equipment, to protect individuals and the environment from the harmful effects of radiation. It is crucial for businesses to comply with these regulations, not only to avoid costly fines and legal penalties but also to ensure the safety of their employees and the general public.

Our on-site laser compliance testing service provides a convenient and reliable solution to ensure your laser equipment operates safely and legally. Tests performed in Section 1

• Protective housing - Are the external surfaces of the laser unit intact and free from damage that exposes the internal workings?
• Access Panels - Are any parts that expose internal workings secured?
• Overrides - If you remove a panel, will the laser turn off? Most of the time, panels are screwed on, and this field will be marked as N/A.
• Labels for panels - Are any parts that expose the internal workings clearly labelled?
• Key or pin pad control - Does the key or pin pad work and is free from damage?
• Remote interlock - Is there a device preventing the remote activation device (pendant/foot pedal) from working when disconnected?
• Radiation warning device - Does the laser have an audio and visual indication like a buzzer or pillar light to indicate the status of the laser?
• Aperture indication - A sticker that shows where the laser energy will come out.
• Aperture warning label - A sticker warning what type of laser energy will be emitted from the aperture.
• Viewing optics - Is there a shield fitted to the device, and is it free from damage? If none is fitted, N/A will be noted.
• Radiation warning labels - A sticker stating what type of laser, classification, wavelength and peak output warnings.
• Explanatory labels - Sticker indicating the use of the laser and to read the manual before use etc.
• Emergency stop - Is there an emergency stop button, and does it function?

Tests performed in Section 2

• Laser output wavelength(s) - the wavelength of the aiming beam and active beam or beams if multi-wavelength.
• The laser energy emitted v.s its set value (Commonly referred to as TEST 13) - A quantitative measurement of the difference between the set value and the recorded value of the laser output at five different power settings (per wavelength).
• Laser output pulse - what is the difference between the set value and recorded value of your laser in 5 different pulse settings (per wavelength).
