This indoor use only* thermometer is intended for the periodic measurement and monitoring of human body temperature.

The instrument performs a self-test every time it is switched on to always guarantee the specified accuracy of measurements.

• *ISO 80601-2-56 states that a non-contact forehead thermometer cannot be used when the room temperature is lower than 16 degrees celcius. The main reason is that if the temperature is too low, the blood on the forehead cannot be fully circulated, and most of it will be concentrated on the organs, namely to protect the heart. Therefore, the ambient temperature of a room must not be lower than 16 degrees celcius, as it is impossible to get an accurate enough measure under a low ambient temperature.
