Main Features

• Soft, breathable material
• Sewn in a cylinder to give one slippery sheet on top of another

Benefits of the Slide & Turn Sheet:

• The Patient can sleep directly on top of the Slide & Turn Sheet.
• When it is necessary to turn the Patient, the Carers simply hold the top section and pull it as if pulling a normal Bed Slide Sheet.
• The Patient can be turned from side to side, or left sleeping on their back, before moving them on to their side. They can also be moved up the bed, assisted to sit up and helped to get out of bed with the sheet.
• The Slide & Turn Sheet is much easier to use with very large Patients who are difficult to log roll. The Patients who have very fragile skin also benefit as there is less touching the Patient when turning them.
• It has been reported that some Patients who may be aggressive when they are disturbed may not even wake up when they are being turned.
• The Slide & Turn Sheet is normally used by one Carer, though with heavier Patients, it may be possible for two Carers to use their combined body weights to turn a Patient.
• Alternatively, sometimes one Carer may pull the Slide & Turn Sheet while the second Carer will push the Patient across the bed. This can only be done if the pushing will not harm the Patient.
