What Do Shock Waves Do?

Shock waves cause a biological reponse at the cellular level. When cells are stimulated by shock wave energy, they release a number of proteins that have been clinically proven to improve the quality and speed of healing in various musculoskeletal injuries.

Shock waves have been used in the field of human medicine since the 1980s to treat kidney stones.
