To provide choice Signet also offers the Swann-Morton range of disposable scalpels. These scalpels offer a consistently shaper blade edge and are highly durable. The scalpels are available in different sizes and can be purchased as either sterile or non-sterile.

 

For user safety, Signet provides disposable scalpels with a retractable blade. These scalpels ensure no compromise blade quality or control, and reduce the risk of exposure to blood borne pathogens. The disposal of these scalpels is also simple and safe, and is a major advance in handling safety.

 

The Paramount blades and handles available from Signet are all stainless steel and sterilised by Gamma Radiation. Each handle is supplied in individual plastic wallets, is autoclavable and easily gripped, while each blade is protected by VCI paper in a peel-open sachet.

 

Swann-Morton’s blades are made with carbon steel to provide a consistently sharper edge which can maintain its sharpness for a longer period of time. The blades are microscopically serrated and have an open edge on one side of the blade to give greater fingertip feel. Each box also contains a vapour phase inhibitor to absorb any moisture in the box and minimize the possibility of rust formation. The blades are available in either nickel or steel and are packaged individually.

 

Signet supplies the Swann-Morton blade removers which are for single use and remove the No.3 & No. 4 fitment blades.
