DEVICE OVERVIEW

The Cryo 6 Cold Air Device is designed  to reduce discomfort and thermal trauma during laser and dermatological procedures and for temporary topical anaesthetic relief for injections. Unlike other forms of cooling such as contact cooling, cryogen spray or ice packs, the Cryo 6 can cool the epidermis before, during and after application of the laser energy without interfering with the laser beam.

With the Cryo 6 room air is filtered and cooled to the required temperature (around -32° C) in the device. By changing the flow rate from 300-700 1/min, local cold condition is formed. However, temperature on the skin may be around 2°C during treatment. The cooled air reaches the desired cooling via an application tube. Air current flow can be regulated. A distance of 5-20 cm should be maintained between skin & output nozzle.
