THE NEXT GENERATION OF MEDICAL-GRADE PLASMA TECHNOLOGY |
Plasma treatments encompass a range of versatile, non-surgical procedures that smooth, tighten, lift, plump, repair and rejuvenate the face and body.
An increasingly popular non-surgical cosmetic dermatology technique, plasma treatments utilise a plasma flash (small electrical charge) to create a radius of microplasma that delivers energy to the superficial skin cells, transitioning the targeted treatment area from a solid to a gas state without damaging surrounding tissue (a process known as sublimation).
Plexr Plus is developed by GMV, an Italian based company at the forefront of aesthetic and medical technology development with over 10 years of experience in plasma technology.
Plasma Exeresis technology was pioneered by GMV for use in aesthetic medicine and internationally patented. In addition to use in aesthetic and dermatological applications, the device is used in a range of medical disciplines including oculoplasty, dentistry and gynaecology.
Listed on the Australian Register of Therapeutic Goods (ARTG) by the Therapeutic Goods Australia (TGA), this medical-grade device provides advanced treatment applications for some of the most frequent client aesthetic and dermatological concerns:
Fine lines and wrinkles |
Lax, sagging skin |
Drooping eyelids (non-surgical blepharoplasty) |
Superficial and cystic acne |
Skin tags |
Moles and pigmented lesions |
Acne and atrophic scarring |
Hypertrophic scarring |
Cherry angiomas |

With advanced treatment protocols and clinical peer reviewed studies into treatment efficacy, Plexr Plus offers the next generation of plasma technology for enhanced results on a diverse range of applications.

UPPER + LOWER EYELID TIGHTENING AND REJUVENATION |
Non-surgical blepharoplasty with Plexr Plus is used to tighten and improve the appearance of the periorbital area (upper eyelids and lower eyelids).
During treatments, the 500 micron treatment tip delivers energy only to superficial skin cells, sublimating superficial corneocytes without involving the basal layer. This technique avoids deeper layer tissue, ensuring comfortable eyelid movement and plasticity post treatment.
Treatments result in a reduction of the excess skin on the upper or lower eyelid, and a shrinking of the excess skin in the external region around the eye. Clients also enjoy the benefits of an improvement in expression lines around the corner of the eye and on the upper cheekbone (“crow’s feet”).
Non-surgical blepharoplasty targets:
Loose or sagging skin that creates folds or disturbs the natural contour of the upper eyelid |
Fine lines and wrinkles in the upper and lower eyelid area |
Draping skin that obscures or blocks vision |
Undereye swelling or “bags” under the eyes |
Excess fatty deposits that appear as puffiness beneath the eyelid skin |
Droopiness of the lower eyelids which can expose the under-iris area |
In a 2017 study ‘Clinical and Confocal Microscopy Study of Plasma Exeresis for Nonsurgical Blepharoplasty of the Upper Eyelid:, conducted by Giovanni Pellacani MD, PhD; Elena Rossi MD et al and published in American Society for Dermatologic Surgery, results demonstrated that “All patients showed improvement of the upper eyelid rating after nonsurgical blepharoplasty. Improvement was observed in all patients; 7 improved by 3 grades, 2 improved by 2 grades, and 1 by a single grade, resulting in an overall average clinical improvement of 2.6 grades”. |

MOLES | SKIN TAGS | SENILE WARTS | CHERRY ANGIOMAS |
By the age of 15, Australians have an average of more than 50 moles. Moles and other skin lesions (such as skin tags, senile warts and cherry angiomas) occur evenly in men and women and provide the opportunity to target a wider range of client demographics than traditional skin rejuvenation services alone.
Skin lesion removal with Plexr Plus provides effective removal on almost all areas including the face, décolletage, arms, armpits, legs, back, chest and neck. The unique sublimation ability of Plexr Plus plasma treatments seal the area around the removed skin lesions, resulting in a reduced risk of post treatment complications, minimal scaring and a shorter healing period than traditional skin lesion removal treatments.
TARGET HYPERTROPHIC AND ATROPHIC SCARS |
Two of the most common types of scarring are hypertrophic scarring (where deposits of excessive amounts of collagen create a raised scar) and scarring (an indented scar that heals below the normal layer of skin tissue.
Treatments with Plexr Plus are able to target and breakdown scar tissue through the plasma sublimation process, effectively cauterising scar tissue and prompting the body to generate new cells to repair the skin and reduce the appearance of the scar. Treatments are ideal for post-surgery scarring, stretch marks, acne scarring (including ice-pick scars, rolling scar, boxcar scars), and scarring resulting from injury.
Scarring correction treatments are fast and effective. Many clients achieve their intended result after 1 treatment, although depending on the depth and nature of the scars some clients may require up to 3 treatments to reach their best possible scarring correction outcome.

CLEAR ACTIVE ACNE AND PREVENT FUTURE BREAKOUTS |
Treatments with the Plexr Plus provide long term results in the reduction and prevention of active acne.
Treatments are recommended at two-week intervals, with optimal results obtained after a 2-month treatment period. 6 months after the last treatment the confocal microscope analysis revealed the almost complete disappearance of acne lesions.
In a 2018 study ‘Plasma exeresis for active acne vulgaris’, conducted by Elena Rossi MD; Victor Desmond Mandel MD et al results demonstrated that “At T0 (before treatment), RCM images showed the presence of comedos, papular-pustolar lesions, dilated infundibula and infundibula, while at T1 (6 months after final treatment) it revealed the almost complete disappearance of acne lesions. We demonstrated that plasma exeresis could be an alternative approach for active acne, especially in patients who refuse, cannot tolerate or fail medical treatments. ”. |
