Lumixa is a biophotonic topical gel developed by FB Dermatology, the makers of Kleresca, that contains a fluorophore with an energy profile that is activated when under a 415nm – 465nm wavelength (blue) LED light.
The activated Lumixa gel converts blue light into Fluorescent Light Energy (FLE), which stimulates the skin’s own repair mechanisms to heal at the cellular level. FLE acts within the different layers of the skin simultaneously, meaning clients can enjoy the benefits of multiple wavelengths of light energy at once on both the epidermal and dermal layers, up to 6mm deep.
Treatments with Lumixa stimulate fibroblasts to increase collagen production, correct ‘Inflammageing’, target the intrinsic signs of ageing and reactivate the skin matrix.
Benefits include:
“Fluorejuvenation”: stimulation of regeneration mechanisms |
“Skin gym”: reinforces natural defence mechanisms |
Natural glow enhancement |
Anti-redness effect |
Stimulation of collagen production |
Lumixa treatments deliver powerful, point of difference services with long-term benefits and skin health correction results. Treatments are non-invasive and suitable all year-round with no downtime. Make-up can be applied immediately after the session.
Lumixa FLE treatments take as little as 7 minutes with the power packed MediLUX. 1x 5 treatment pack of Lumixa Skin Normaliser and 1x 5 treatment pack of Lumixa Collagen Booster are included with your MediLUX order, additional packs available separately. |

When comparing all aesthetic technologies available on the market, LED is arguably the most versatile, user-friendly and client-friendly of them all.
Not only does it achieve results through the simple application of therapeutic LED light alone, with no consumables necessary (unless desired), it is also non-irritant — making LED suitable for all skin types, including sensitive and reactive.
To learn more about LED view "Discover LED Light Therapy" with The Global Beauty Group Clinical and Training Manager Elise Andrews below. Elise delivers answers to some of the most frequently asked questions about LED Light Therapy, along with why LED remains one of the most popular medical-grade modularities available.
LED is so versatile that it can be integrated into virtually any facial service as an upgrade to intensify the final results, and can even be offered as an add-on service to soothe, calm and fast track skin healing following laser, IPL and injectable treatments. These factors alone show how LED plays a pivotal part in the upselling strategies of the most successful skin clinics and medi-spas around the globe.
The gentle and restorative nature of LED light means that LED treatment can be safely performed all year round with no pain, no side effects and no post-treatment downtime, making it an attractive, lifestyle-driven option for clients, and a powerful, hard-working investment for results-driven clinicians. |

The benefits of Near Infrared treatment in the clinic environment Near Infrared is a type of infrared light that falls just after red light on the electromagnetic spectrum. Its longer wavelength means that it penetrates deeper into the cells, providing additional therapeutic benefits that span tissue and cellular regeneration and even muscle and joint pain relief.
Near Infrared boosts adenosine triphosphate production (ATP) to promote healing, DNA repair and cellular regeneration |
Reduces skin and tissue inflammation and speeds up healing of lesions and wounds |
Stimulates collagen and elastin production for firmer, suppler, younger-looking skin |
Boosts blood circulation and cellular oxygenation, stimulating a release of toxic wastes for a healthy, radiant glow |
Improves overall skin clarity, tone, texture and resilience |
