Fixation solutions are available for any kind of patient treatment including pelvis, prostate, CNS, belly, MRI coil headrest, generic headrests, SBS, Sarcoma etc. Alongside the standard portfolio cushion shapes, a large variety of specialized cushions are made to fit the specific needs of modern fixation methods.
The cushions are designed with a double seal, plug and squeeze valve to ensure a full airtight cushion with no need of re-evacuating during the treatment period. The cushions can be evacuated using the suction outlets present in the hospitals or alternatively with the special vacuum pumps offered on the ParScientific range. These pumps allow more focus on the shaping of the cushion, these pumps feature foot pedals, remote controlling and auto-shutdown when desired vacuum level is reached.
The small beads are between 0.7 - 0.9mm in diameter allowing precision fixation, a 0.2mm thick plastic foil increases fixation accuracy, adds durability with a tensile strength of 90Mpa & offers a very low build-up effect. Furthermore, the features of the foil and beads offer a high degree of reproduction of fixation position from treatment to treatment.
