NexTemp Thermometers
These NexTemp disposable thermometers are accurate to 0.1o C and come in sealed strips of four, in a box of 100.
The temperature display area is a series of green dots where each green dot represents an increase in temperature of 0.1degrees C to that of its previous green dot. Each green dot will turn black if the temperature exceeds its temperature characteristics.
To read, just check the last black dot on the display.
It turns back to a display of green dots again 40 seconds after removing from the heat source, so it can be used repeatably for the next 5 years if required
To take a temperature requires just one minute under the tongue usually when blood pressure or pulse oximetry is taken.
Single-use, disposable thermometers like the Nextemp stop cross-contamination that can expose patients to infections such as C.difficile, MSRA, Norovirus and Rotavirus.
Clostridium Difficile infection is a preventable and costly problem that affects 13.1% of patients in the USA, and disposable thermometers help prevent the spread of this infection. Please contact us if you are interested in reading research papers on this subject.
Nextemp thermometers are now being used in many hospitals, Schools, on work sites, by St. John Ambulance in W.A. and on all Qantas aircraft.
NexTemp Thermometer - 250 Cat #442a
These NexTemp Cat # 442a disposable thermometers are the same as the Cat# 442 except they are not sterile and come in a box of 250 instead of a box of 100.
They have the same accuracy of 0.1degrees C and the same display technology. They also have the advantage of being even less expensive!
Single-use Nextemp disposable thermometers if used as designed eliminate the problem of cross-contamination that can expose patients to infections such as C.difficile, MSRA, Norovirus and Rotavirus.

NexTemp 7-Day Thermometer Cat. #445a
The NexTemp 7 day thermometer is accurate to 0.1o C and comes in a box of 100 thermometers. Each thermometer sits in its’ own pouch that adheres to a bedside cabinet so it is always at hand. To use, simply remove from the pouch, clean with an alcohol wipe and then return to the pouch after use.
This thermometer is called a “7 day” unit because typically most patients are discharged within the first 7 days. However, each thermometer will continue to provide accurate readings for 5 years on the same patient, so the same thermometer can be used for longer-term patients. The longer the term the less expensive it gets per reading compared to other electronic thermometers.
The temperature gauge is a series of green dots that start to turn black when the temperature is being taken. Each dot represents 0.1 C and will progressively change colour as the temperature is registered over a period of 60 seconds under the tongue or 3 minutes under the arm. To read, check the last black dot on the temperature line.
