Indigo Care Wireless Doorway Sensor
Part No. MED-RTU-DS
$94.60 ex GST (1-3 unit price)
Indigo Care has designed an affordable, effective Cordless Doorway Sensor that helps to reduce unauthorized exits from a resident’s room.
It also helps to alleviate emotional stress and physical injury for residents with Dementia when they unintentionally wander out of their room.
Designed to integrate with a Nurse Call System, the Cordless Doorway Sensor allows the nurse or caregiver, to take appropriate action as quickly as possible to ensure the safety of the residents.
The Doorway Sensor is completely cordless/wireless and must be paired with Indigo Care's Wireless Receiver (RRU) or an Indigo Care Call Point with an in-built RF Receiver Module.
The Doorway Sensor has 2 parts with each being installed to align with each other when the door is closed.
The unit is simple to use and easy to install on a resident’s door/door frame via the included screw kit.
(Note: Double-sided adhesive tape or Velcro tape can be used but not recommended as the vibration when the door is shut may dislodge the device from the tape).
Pairing the Cordless Doorway Sensor to the Receiver is easy and Indigo Care’s Wireless Receiver can pair up to 5 Wireless/Cordless devices.
Once installed and a door is opened, the Doorway Sensor will alert the staff via the wireless receiver and the nurse call system.
Powered by a CR2032 Coin Battery, the unit also has a separate ON/OFF switch for activation mode when required.
This makes it easy for caregivers and staff to monitor the movements and ensure the safety of the residents.
